Why does my Nest thermostat say not enough power for Wi-Fi? ›

If your thermostat's battery level is low, it'll disconnect from Wi-Fi. It does this to conserve power, so it can continue to control your system. If your thermostat repeatedly loses battery charge, it may require a C wire or the Nest Power Connector.

Teach your thermostat

Your thermostat will never stop learning, so teach it good habits to save energy. Turn it down before you go to bed, or any time you would turn down a regular thermostat to save energy. Your Nest thermostat will remember these changes and adjust your schedule.
